There will come a time when it becomes more than apparent that the archaeological record in no way shape or form reflects the astronomical reality of the longevity of the lithic industry of man. At that time it will not be so easy to explain away that which limited understanding and limited patience has thus far managed to do. A good portion of the inevitable void that results may then be filled in with examples of what is almost assuredly one of the most important tools to mans' prehistory such as these. The commonalities become far too consistent and observable than what may be lacking to our modern perception of tools and our modern concepts may not be as modern as we believe.
