“Tepe” (10 replies)

Just wanted to draw out a comparison I am wondering about.
We all know of Göbekli Tepe (pot belly hill) and Zed Tepe (first time in Egypt). So now I have to point out the word Tepe being used in both cases. I wonder if Tepe could mean something completely different than what we’re told and the word has simply evolved into a new meaning over time. This happens with languages they are ever evolving.

Could Göbekli Tepe be Zed Tepe? It was described as the first time when the gods passed on knowledge. Göbekli Tepe was most likely a place of worship, and place to share ideas from all different sources. Makes sense they would bury it to protect this knowledge. So I don’t think it’s a reach to say that Göbekli Tepe might have some connection to Zed Tepe. Maybe it’s a place and a time.

Love to hear your thoughts on this!
