
The above fossil was donated by Charles T. McClenachan to the Museum collection of the Livingston Masonic Library, New York, and is listed in the 1886 catalog with dimensions in centimeters of 'L: 9.2 [3.62205”] W: 5.3 [2.08661”]'. It is described as ”A polished, irregularly shaped fossil, squared on one side. It is unknown if the fossil was found in this state, or if the polishing and squaring was done by the donor.” The catalog further states: ”A polished fossil found on the top of the Pyramid of Giza.”
