Graham, I must say Underworld was hands down my favorite book of yours. I can see why you disliked it, it was probably more difficult to write not just because you were hyper vigilant on fact checking, and also you went into with certain attitudes because of the academics were hounding you dreadfully. I think though because of it you ended up with a work that is positively invaluable. I didn't find it dry at all (I read it three times cover to cover the week I got it. One of the few books I regret giving away (not really - good books travel and have their own spiritual journeys).
Still I have seen you cut that book down in presentations and interviews. I just want to say you should be very proud of it.
