Azzo Bassou was discovered some time in the 1930s living near Morocco. He was reported to live in a cave and eat dead animals. He was incapable of speech and demonstrated the intelligence level of and behavior of an ape. He is the spitting image of multiple modern reconstructions of Homo erectus. He was a tabloid sensation at one time. The serious investigations of Azzo were carried out by Jean Boullet, Marcel Homet and Peter kolosimo.
