Diodorus Siculus a Greek historian of the 1st Century B.C.

On p.79 of 'The Antiquities of Egypt' A Translation, with Notes, of Book 1 of The library of History of Diodorus Siculus' Edwin Murphy.

Writing on the Great Pyramid he states. 'The largest of them is a square in it's ground plan; each of its sides has a base length of 7 plethora;"

Many people assume when Diodorus gave measurements he used the standard Greek foot 12.15 inches 30.861cm however there is more than one Greek foot and it is plain than he is using the Attic foot found at Olympia in the temple of Zeus enc brit p780 "1.08 English foot"

1.08 feet is of course 12.96 inches (32.9184cm) and we all are aware of the importance of the number. 7 plethora or 700 feet x 12.96 = 9072 inches 756 feet 230.4288m.
