Understanding how difficult it is to chip away at stone and the amount of time involved to get much rock removed at all…
To think of the man hours it would have taken to just chip away let alone the next huge team & commensurate machinery to lift and place huge blocks into very high walls is out there. Why would they go polygonal? It's not efficient/practicle but probably did have function or purpose. You can't build a wall like this without knowing exactly what you are doing.
What we know to be true is that there are too many similarities to be found all around the world for there to not have been contact with one another. The perfection stuns modern day engineers etc..
This wall/castle is amazing …it’s hard to lift multiton blocks that high ;)
