The modern continuation of the "seven sages" or lost civilization (no replies)

The continual question that is raised in the magicians of the gods is one of deep mystery and a myriad of hazey clues and competing sources, however, just as the idea of a lost civilization was at first unweildy and unscientific, evidence guided by the right questions, has time and time again stood up to the tests of the gradualist world. The question that Hancock repeatedly makes passes at is, where has this long lasting group of civilizors gone? If they were able to survive the traumatic events of the last ice age and if their echos and words can be found across civilization and across vast time spans, where are they now? It would seem illogical to me that a group of people who knew of the immenent possible destructions of society would just abandon civilization to let it suffer the same fate. Would they not work to preserve their knowledge and organization beyond the pitfalls of human society in an effort to ensure that humanity never again was so unprepared for a catastrophe? Well I have a working theory that I invite you all to help me gather resources and evidence for, this group of mythical civilizors has in some world continued its existence underground and within the deepest unknown parts of the Earth. I do not currently have the time to document all my sources but as time goes by I will documents these sources and write a full explanation and hypothesis for this idea and present it to you. Look to the underground cities in turkey, huge complexes of unknown age and origin often times so vast that we are not sure of the extent of these cities. The builders of golbekli hurried their mounds in what appears to be an efffort to protect them. All over the world we see signs of people taking to the Earth in huge numbers and with huge amounts of organization and intelligence. The civilization who survived the catastrophe would have known that the safest place for humanity would not be the surface or the turbulent depths of the oceans or the potential unknowns of space but rather the comparatively stable, strong, lasting depths of the Earth's crust, where humans could be potentially protected from any atmospheric changes, surface level catastrophes and generally the instability of the world's surface. Clearly there were concentrated efforts of people to learn to live wholly underground and got quite good at it as there are dozens of underground cities that were capable of being completely self sustaining for long periods of time possible without any surface contact for years. If we take this one step further, to the realm of the unknown, to the spaces of the Earth that science has not yet explored, the underground, one can reasonably extrapolate that an advanced society with knowledge of stone masonry, monumental archetecture and a vast understanding of the cosmos and the natural world would find a way to protect themselves from a finite existence and I argue that this society is still among us somewhere deep underground waiting for the bell sound of another cosmic impact to awaken them and begin civilising once again protecting humanity from its own ignorance. Please share your thoughts and share any sources you may have to either support or deny this claim. Also An interesting anecdote are the tales of another world somewhere deep within the center of the Earth containing technologies and society's far beyond our own similar to the ideas of Atlantis which seem to be connected to these great civilizors. Anyways I aim to try and begin this line of questioning in order to discover the truth and hopefully to make contact eventually with these civilizing heros and awaken the world to the true dangers ingnorance has brought us.
