Aboriginal flood stories (no replies)

I've only recently discovered the work of Graham Hancock, and it has greatly sparked my curiosity. Please forgive me if the following post is redundant.
I was reading this article in, The Scientific American, linked here: [www.scientificamerican.com]
It seems to really coordinate well with Mr. Hancock's theories.
Additionally, I wonder about the types of unique stone and glass created by meteorite impacts. I'm an underground contractor, and I excavate for a living. Sometimes we dig fairly deep, but typically we remain about 2-3 ft in depth. However, across middle Tennessee, at varying depths between 2 ft and 6 ft there is an abundance of strange rocks. Some seem volcanic in nature and seem to have metallic properties, while others are amazingly brightly colored and marbled glasses. I've also noticed what seems to be a level of earth that had been burned at some time, though this is not nearly as consistent and could be attributed to burn pits.
I live in the middle Tennessee basin, which is ringed by a high plateau. In looking at aerial topography maps of the region, the basin appears to be a ring, and I wonder if it has the potential to be an ancient asteroid or meteor impact.
So yeah, I'm dumb, please forgive me, but could any of this mean something?
I've heard of aboriginal DNA being found in trace amounts in both southern and northern American Indian DNA. Is there any possibility it's the reverse?
