There are many posters here with a "mainstream" bent, often the more qualified to speak of matters of history, some would include myself among them, which is fine, but one thing I never understood is what is the point of being here if only to beat up on the fringe? Not that this does not have its place, nor without an inherent responsibility, but there must be some alternative ideas that brought you here in the first place and/or some you have heard over the years that make you go hmmm. Or better yet-some you have yourself.
If so-what are they? Instead of beating up on the lowest hanging fruit all the time, why not talk about something worthwhile for a change? I've tried with middling success, but if the subjects that interest me do no interest you then what does? Surely you must have some alternative take on something, or is this just it?
