An understanding of the Inca Civilization (8 replies)

Hi all

I offer (bring to readership attention) this two part documentary concerning the Inca Civilization

The Secrets Of The Incas - Part 1 of 2 (Ancient Civilization Documentary) | Timeline

The Secrets Of The Incas - Part 2 of 2 (Ancient Civilization Documentary) | Timeline

As an outline or overview:

Bill Sullivan veteran researcher. Has looked at Inca mythology recorded by Spanish Conquistadors in their writing.
He proposes a link to astronomy and star gazing to explain their mythology, history, culture and religion.
Later he makes some reference to this being a feature ofall known ancient civilizations.
(Although not an expert on Australian Aborigines what I do know has several parallels)

He is perplexed at how easily the massive Inca civilization was wiped out almost without a fight or opposition.
Elsewhere I have read the last Spanish invader recorded how "civilized the Inca were , no stealing no murder (yes sacrifice explained later as different) but extremely cooperative and non warlike. This is explored in detail.

Inca were as he puts it the last remnant of a global connected prior civilization tree (many branches)

There is some really fascinating stuff in part 2, discussing the proposed meaning , of many iconic megalithic sites and landscape features which will be very familiar to many here.

I found it sincere and extremely interesting. Apology if I am the last one to see it and it is old hat news.

Dr T (mods) I didn't post in the Peruvian stonework thread as it subject is very different. However combine them if you must or this thread flops without comment.

Footnote PS
I was challenged by a esteemed poster many months ago, who thought too much time was spent by some (I included myself) just arguing with "low hanging fruit" -err loops . Done to death repetitive hobby horses etc . I argued that feedback to that was VERY necessary role here, but also realised I had not contributed much by way of thread or new discussion for some time especially anything slightly alternate.

So, if some of you have a little more time for new info over the holiday period and find the TV crap then give these a go! (ie watch them) Very well done imho!

I have done quite a bit of reading about subject recently so argue away! (It's WELCOME)
