TL;DR — There's a new method from dramatically improving underwater images that could be very helpful to Graham and Santha.
I'm a recent fan and reader of Graham. I know Santha has photographed underwater archeological sites extensively (I'm halfway through Underworld).
I just read about a new method for making underwater photographs much much more clear with post-processing. The results are impressive. I highly recommend viewing the video at the link below. I'd love to see Santha's photography corrected for color and in large format.
"Removing the water": physically-accurate color correction algorithm for underwater photography
If anybody can get this in front of Graham, Santha, or their people, I think they'd find it very useful.
