Plate Tectonics.
I am a new student to the world of Astronomy and the theories around ancient megalithic sites and construction. I have a degree in Anthropology and have a good understanding of archaeology and science. I am thrilled by the possibilities of how an ancient civilization could of seeded multiple cultures with the gifts of sciences such as astrology 11-12k years ago. My questions are these. Given that ancient sites such as Giza and Göbeklitepe have a significant star and ground correlation. Has plate tectonic drift been taken into account when theorizing the location of these sites and how they were used 11000-12000 years ago? By my simple calculations based on plate movement in these sites and the rate of movement over time. These sites may have been up to 10 meters away from current locations. Being that axial precession plays a great role in understanding how ancient peoples viewed the heavens does it matter that the sites on the ground are no longer where they were in those ancient times? Example: Shafts on the great pyramid pointing to Orion belt star at in a certain epoch long ago lined up. Do those same shafts line up if Giza has rotated away a few degrees and moved 10 meters to the southwest?
