So, the LEVEL given for the 'Main Entrance' - NOT the Descending Passage! - has always bugged me.
The point is: The First major internal structures are the 'Queens' Chamber' and the 'Grand Gallery', which - by pure coincidence I'm sure - begin at the same Level. That means that the most logical PLATFORM on which to build these structures is the level of the QC base - not ignoring the step in the passage.
But the so-called 'Main Entrance' [ME] 'Floor' is some courses BELOW that platform, so just which PART of the ME exists to facilitate delivery of blocks to that platform/level?
Does ANYONE have a decent DETAILED image/sketch/drawing/link/whatever of the ME?
What does M+R stand for - I've forgotten! :)
'The constant e, known as Euler’s number, wasn’t discovered until 1618.' - Now there's a coincidence. :)
