Göbekli Tepe - First Ancient Freezer (no replies)

Just a thought,

I think Göbekli Tepe was an ancient underground larder/freezer, At the time it was inhabited the ice age was probably in full swing and there was nothing but uninhabitable ice sheets further north, the location of Göbekli Tepe would have seen permafrost at least maybee?

The stones have depictions of animals on them an could have been used for indexing of animals carcasses to be used over winter or summer, I think it's too easy to think its something much more than an ancient underground larder/freezer.

It's still a hugely important site as it could have been the first human larder and enabled people to settle and grow crops/meat for the first known time in history.

Just some thoughts.

Lisa.
