Inscriptions on the leftmost pillar of a Dogon Togu Na meeting house in Diankabou, Mali (c. 1976), fairly well cinch a link to a very similar inscription found at the Skara Brae vilage on Orkney (c. 3200 BC) and on a pillar at Gobekli Tepe (c. 9000 BC).The entire continuum spans one long tradition.
Dogon Togu Na from Diankabou
Inscription from Skara Brae Village
Gobekli Tepe inscription
The likely path of that continuum is set out in my recent book Tracing Orkney's Origins
