I’ve just read that the Nebra Sky Disc is to be displayed at the British Museum, and thought I might load up some observations I attempted to discuss with the German archaeologists concerned soon after it came to light.
Needless to say, my pitiful suggestions fell on deaf ears!
The web page in the link below attempts to explain what might be the mysterious arc at the bottom of the disc.
The Nebra Disc as an Equinoctial Pointer?
Should anyone have an interest in checking the potential maps of the northern and southern sky at the time I’d be pleased to hear the results. I couldn't get any archaeologists or archaeoastronomers in Britain interested in doing so at the time.
