West Gable Talks to East across the Horizon Chamber? (no replies)

I post this topic in reference to a post by "Agni" who cited PT 248 and 249 from the part of the Pyramid Texts that deal with "Spells for emerging from the Duat" written into the west gable of the ante-chamber in the Pyramid of Unas, in its original version as far as is currently known. Agni, feel free to co-host, you started it.

These two passages begin in columns 11 and 17, respectively. From Pyramid Texts Online, modified with transliteration notes by myself.

The mention of the water lily with known psychedelic properties documented by, for example, W. Benson Harer in Pharmacological and Biological Properties of the Egyptian Lotus, appears to be topograpically positioned in this chamber in such a way that it connects with a part of the Cannibal Hymn, PT 273, written into the opposite wall that may be written enigmatically and describes a "Witch Brew," if you will. When I read it in hieroglyphic, I was reminded of MacBeth. It is a brew, however, whose ingredients are not literally mentioned, except the wine in the form of its natural power (nṯr). The other two ingredients, lotus and grain are possibly encoded, and I can show you how and where, but the mystery of it is, if it is intentional. One clue that it might be is the positioning of the texts vis-a-vis across the chamber, but it is not a perfect juxtaposition, so I cannot be sure that it was intentional.

For your consideration, anyways, something a bit different.

The other side is here:

The Egyptological reference for juxtaposed standard and enigmatic writing as observed in the New Kingdom is by David Klotz et al.. This book is excellent but it is a tough read for entry without a solid base in hieroglyphic. I am citing it only to say that there is a body of literature that deals with the subject, just not yet in the Pyramid Texts, my current project. The specific information I want to cite here is that enigmatic and orthographic texts were spatially juxtaposed in the New Kingdom and there are several examples of this from Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. And so based on this observation, I am taking a shot at topography inside Unas to see if this also was used here. Completely uncharted territory, as yet.

EDIT: Spelling errors
