Many people who visit this site measure in metres and not in feet and inches or miles so for an exercise.

The Great Pyramid as an Earth measure in metres.

Side of pyramid 230.4 m
Perimeter of pyramid 230.4 x 4 = 921.6 m

An interesting fact is the perimeter of the Great pyramid measures one 1/2 minute of 1 degree of latitude at the Equator. That is the distance of one 1/2 minute of 1 degree north or south of the equator.

Perimeter of pyramid 921.6 m x 2 = 1843.2 m or 1 minute of 1 degree

1 minute 1843.2 x 60 = 110592 m and this equals 1 degree of latitude at the equator.

The polar circumference using this measure is 110592 x 360 = 39,813,120 m

The diameter of the earth then is 39,813,120/pi = 12,672,909.7 m

The architect of the pyramid decided to incorporate the height of the pyramid by reducing the diameter of the earth and so divided the diameter by 180 degrees.

The diameter of the earth 12,672,905.7 m / 180 (note half of 360) = 70405.05387 m and this is 180th of a degree in the diameter.

A degree is divided into 60 minutes.

700405.05387 m / 60 = 1173.417564 m

The height of the pyramid is 1/8th of this 1173.417564 or 7.5 seconds. When 1/8th comes up immediately think of a cube eg 2 x 2 = 4 x 2 = 8

And so 1173.417564 / 8 = 146.677956 m height of Great pyramid and earth measure.

or 481.22687 imp feet.

If anyone would care to draw this please do.
