This probably does not belong in the Mysteries section, but uncertain where to post it – I leave it to the Mods to put it in ‹the proper place›.
Concerning the mummies of 18th dynasty overseer Kah and his wife Merit.
– In this documentary featuring egyptologist Joanne Fletcher, two experts – patologist Peter Vanezis and radiologist Curtis Offiah – discusses Merits age, condition and probable cause of death. Based on what is claimed to be recent scans of her mummy. To be brief: The pictures, as far as I can tell, shows a ‹normal› skeleton. And the experts comments on it as such. [timestamp aprox. 26:15]
However – in this study, her skeleton/body appears to be all muddled up. Attributed to a severe «post-mortal injury», according to the authors. And the pictures included in the study certainy confirms it. The study refrains from speculating why that is, just calmly states it’s post mortem. Based on the evidence. [You need to either read the full article (recommended) or scroll down to where the x-rayish pictures are. (Fig.8 and on).]
The documentary otherwise seems to use pictures from that very same study to make a point or two, but are omitting poor Merits wrecked body. Why?
Anyone got some reliable info on this ‹discrepancy›?
I have tried to ask The Oracle of Our Age – Mighty Google, but to no avail.
Insuficciant sacrifices to The Oracle being the reason, I presume ;-)
