Before the Santorini explosion, which is probably the cause of Noah's flood, btw... There was a powerful kingdom in Syria. It was so powerful that it conquered Egypt.
Does it make sense that these powerful kings would have skipped over Israel, or their neighbors, on their way towards Egypt. Or instead, do these "Hyksos kings" appear in the bible?
We're talking about these first 10 kings of genesis. And Adam is different, because he was a god transformed to a human.
ADAM [1]
SETH [2]
ENOS [3]
CAINAN [4]
MAHALEEL [5]
JARED [6]
ENOCH [7]
METHUSALEH [8]
LAMECH [9]
NOAH [10]
So here are the hyksos:
Hyksos
15th dynasty
Khyan
Seth = Salatis
Cainan = Khyan / Apachnan
MAHALEEL = Sakir-Har (it is a transcription error: הֲ is mistaken for the hieroglyph በ )
Enoch = Yanassi
Methusaleh = Meruserre
Looks like a pretty close match. You could even throw in an Aper-anat as Abel, brother of Cain. :)
If you throw out standard biblical chronology, and match up Noah with Santorini and the Atrahasis flood, then the timeline matches up. The names match up. With a name like Cainan, we are looking for Syrian kings, and these were the most powerful Syrian kings of the time. I also don't think you can find an archaeological reference to Cainan, before Khyan. So this probably correct.
