A few thoughts & things that could be evidence of a physical pole flip, in human recorded history.
!.) Some of the Oldest maps have north and south opposite of today.
2.) Ancient Egypt's emphasis on death, I think is important in that, if true we had a pole switch then the sphinx would not be pointing towards the rising sun but the setting sun, more in align with their fascination with the dead, and the sphinx may have been watching over & guarding the dead.
3.) In an old interview, sorry forget with who and when, but an old Egyptian, said that the dead were westing, which points to the west, setting not rising sun, and also I wonder if it is where we get the word resting from?
4.) If we did have a pole flip did the younger dryas Impacts play a major role in the flip and disappearance of Atlantis and other ancient civilizations, over a period of time? Did the impacts cause tidal waves and the burying of ancient cities in ash and debris? Did the dust & smoke from fires & the Impacts block out the sun partially throwing us back into a mini ice age, which caused the poles to gain so much ice that they caused the pole flip at a later date?
5.) They used star alignments in the past, so if people were displaced or survivors from other areas were looking for old locations they would have used the stars to find the latitude & longitude to get back or find them. If they were worshiping or tracking certain constellations, they would have to move to rebuild and track the old constellations?
6.) I believe there is evidence on 18th century and older maps that show that ancient Israel used to be in southern Africa, which could also point to a pole flip, and they relocated back to the northern hemisphere, due to destruction and their selected celestial alignments, as well as the right temperate area to grow the products they grew before.
7.) Here is video I think deserves a look and contemplation as to the possibility that locations were preserved on the maps as to the original location of Israel, when it was located in the northern hemisphere in modern day southern Africa.
8.) There are a lot of civilizations that seem to have disappeared, is it the case that they did not disappear but relocated from south to north and north to south, or just new locations where the sky & constellations were as they knew them and weather as well?

The sphinx may have originally been Anubis, and was later changed as the whole purpose and meaning of things had now changed and man on earth as god took over and a mans face was given to the Anubis/Sphinx statue. It gives a reason also as to why the old religions & ways changed. If the God of the dead Anubis was no longer watching over and guarding the dead & afterlife and all the constellations had changed and moved, that would have a major effect on the power structure & faith system as well as the people, not to mention all the other atmospheric and local effects, from what ever caused the world to flip over.

This scenario could also explain how the Piri Resi map was made as the northern pole has a lot less ice and would allow mapping and habitation of the continent of Antarctica, at the north pole. It would also explain the glaciers in Americas and Europe as they were at the south pole with less sun and more cold temperatures & ice.
