Solar Eclipse at Giza? (2 replies)

Is the October 25 2022 Partial Solar eclipse encoded at Giza?

The rising direction(azimuth) of the Sun on that day is 103.45°. The direction of the Khafre causeway is 103.49°.

Stationed at the Parthenon one would see the maximum obscuration of the Sun at 26.18%.

The altitude of the Sun at this instance will be 39.22°. The South King Chamber No. 2 airshaft slope is 39.2°.

The altitude of the Moon will be 39.51°. The average South Queen Chamber airshaft slope is 39.608°.

If at this exact instance we move to Giza we note that the altitude of the Sun is 45.11°. The average South King Chamber airshaft slope is 45°.

Using the azimuth data of the Sun and Moon during the maximum obscuration of the Sun at Athens, as observed from both Athens and Giza we can explain how the Queen Chamber niche was designed. The observation point is the center of the chamber. We first look toward the center depth of the niche at its central axis at the height of the ceiling. This leads us to the azimuth of the eclipse as observed from Athens. We then look toward the center depth of the niche at its Sothern end at the height of the border between the first and second courses of the niche. It is the place where the niche becomes narrower. This leads us to the azimuth of the eclipse as observed from the Khufu Pyramid in Egypt.

I just want to point out that Stellarium has the obscuration of the Sun at Athens as 26,18% for 51 consecutive seconds of time. This can give us some perspective on the accuracy of the encoding. I took the middle of this time period as the alignment instance.
