Here is an illustration in Sketchup, done to size. The mechanics of it, have been measured and checked. It is a simple matter of using your weight to lift water up. Each bucket is 3 cubic feet. 2 men every 10 seconds in a 10 hour day. Average stone is 2.5 tons (5000lbs. or 2267.96 Kg.) Using only water, how many stones were they able to lift in a single day using it as weight in a counter balance system.? 1 Cubic foot of water = 62 lbs.

Do the math!

The other diagram are the results of an Incline Plain. Incline Plains are machines, as they afford you a mechanical advantage. The one on the left is for the 52 degrees of the Pyramid, and the one on the right is for the Causeway.

Why would you pull a stone up hill, when it wasn't necessary? Only a dummy would do that.
