I´d like to share with you one of the most amazing fragments of information about our pre-historic ancestors, just in case you have´t heard about it. A few years back ´3Sat´, a German public state TV station, interviewed a German hobby-astronomer. (YouTube links at the bottom) It´s narrated in German, but I will give you the skinny version in English:
While trying to find the star constellations with a beginner level guide he realized that they are really hard to find. Some easy ones people know, but most of them are only traceable, if you have a map. Well...it seem to be exactly what they are! Star constellations are actually ancient shipping routes matching continental coastlines, rivers and their mouth, islands and so on! It´s absolutely amazing to see it and realize, that it literally stared humans smack in the face for a few millennia of collective amnesia.
One example: The two neighboring constellations ´Bootes´ and ´Corona Borealis´ outline the British islands. Interestingly the two constellations where once one single constellation, until ancient Greek astronomers split them...just like Ireland was connected by land until the flood came! Even the relative position of the constellations to one another and the earth surface matches. It´s stunning and it absolutely amazes me that no one talks about it, because lets do the math...it is direct PROOF of an ancient global seafaring civilization that must be for sure older then the earliest documentation of star signs that we know of. Thousands of years beyond Egyptian dynasties!

PS: Love your reporting Graham! One remark on the flood areas surrounding our today continents: Science should consider one more factor that I feel we underestimate. The massive shift of mass due to floods could have caused severe rising and lowering of land masses on a scary scale. Today the Richat Structure is far above sea level, but maybe the whole western African continent was pushed up because massive floods further north pushed the crust down. Probably quite fast too..
