I have a theory.
What if every unexplainable ancient structure : pyramids, puma punku, gunung padang, etc - was just there to serve as a safe haven against reoccurring global catastrophes?
What if the original creators (whether that’s Extra-terrestrials, giants, or just advanced humans) built the base structures and then gave them to the more primitive humans to use every time a new worldwide event was on the horizon.
And they refortified these structures every thousand years to stay safe from world wide floods, meteor showers, etc.
And that’s why there’s so many underground chambers, underground cities, and so many of these structures literally built into the earth - with a water system that flows inside them somewhere.
