Our family had a home on a part of the Palo Duro canyon just outside Amarillo. Behind the dam the canyon had a creek..a waterfall and the water ran around what we looked at a huge 5 slabbed megalithic stone house...it was destroyed in an epic flood in 1979.Later I found a photographer had taken some epic photographs of this Tableau. It was an ancient dolmen. Since this was close to Amarillo many people visited the lake and traveled below the spillway...and showered underneath that waterfall and napped inside that dolmen on a slab bench. It was magical. That ranch it was on was the Curry ranch...and it is still a well documented ruin site...many large caves.. one found with a folded mummy and child. This is a really ancient place. I would like to know if any other dolmen structures had been found in North America..
