Beyond the brutality and murderous mob mentality of the cops, the inaction of the EMTs is inexcusable. Considering the mechanism of injury, to just stand there and watch someone in obvious distress without even enacting C-Spine protocol or oxygen until he goes unconscious is raw negligence. It doesn't matter if police are there milling about. Once you're on scene and it's safe, it's your scene, not the police's. You tell the police what to do and how to help you. You don't wait, for anything. Sickening.
They had an ambulance right there. Transport was obviously critical. No excuse for delay. If you're worried about safety, grab a cop and tell him to come with you in the ambulance and have another escort.
There's no concern for life here at any point in the video. They waited until the last possible moment to render aid, when doing nothing any longer shifts from suspect to blatantly criminal. They watched him die, and didn't care.
