Circles, geographs and other stone markers (no replies)

I don't know if this has already been suggested. Could stone circles, carnac, geoglyphs etc been made to track the sky for comets/asteroids. Its looks like gobekli tepe could have been.

I don't believe the religious reasons. After the younger dyras it seems there was another flood around 7000 years ago. Maybe the dangers from the sky continued.

Would make sense of the number of circles and complex geoglyphs to be constructed for a practical reason.
