Ancient Maps - where to view? (2 replies)

Hi all,

I did not see much on this very interesting topic.

I am headed to Northern Italy. I was thinking there must be some ancient maps there.

I am going to visit Historical Museum of Italian Cartography www.igmi.org/en . to see what they have.

I was thinking maybe in Venice there must be some old maps.

Anyone have any Ideas?

The subject of Antarctica appearing on older maps is very interesting. we could talk along time about that.

Can anyone recommend where we might be able to see other ancient maps with references to antartica?
