The YDE around 10,000BC caused a 30 degree crustal displacement along 30E, i.e. Giza moved 30 degs from equator toward the pole, as Siberia also moved toward the pole.

There appear to be equatorial hinge points +/- 90 degs from 30E, i.e. places where the crust is least displaceable.

The Vostok ice core gives us the clue that it remains within the polar ice caps (15-20 degs from pole) throughout umpteen great years, thus it was ~15 degs the other side of the pole pre YDE, and upon the YDE, went ~15 degs the other side (a 30 deg shift).

This indicates that the next shift is highly likely to be a reverse of the last one, i.e. Giza to shift 30 degs back to the equator. This means southern Alaska (60N 150W) will become polar.

But, anyway, yes, per your last observation, it's highly likely there will be plenty of volcanic activity engendered by such a crustal displacement - rather than a suppression thereof.
