The plan of the pyramids has been laid out to match the positions of stars in Orion. BUT not the Orion Correlation Theory as we understand it through the matching of the position of the stars in the belt (or organ) of Orion as there are three other triplets of stars in Orion that have a much closer match with the position of the pyramids when the stars of Orion pass beneath the pyramids after they have set. (where two triplets of stars in Orion; Bellatrix, Alnitak and Saiph align closely with Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure and also another triplet Betelgeuse, Alnilam and Rigel align closely with Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure when a rotational mapping is made). These much closer alignments of stars with the pyramids (than the OCT stars) perhaps reflect the importance of the association of Osiris with the underworld. The "as above so below" saying referring to the pyramids as being above and the stars of Orion as below (as they set and then pass beneath the pyramids through the underworld) as they return to the eastern horizon to rise again the following night rather that thinking of the stars as being above and the pyramids below. There is even a third association of a triplet of Orion stars that gives a closer match with the pyramid plan than the Orion Correlation Theory involving a similar translation but involving Saiph Mintaka and Bellatrix instead of Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka of Orions belt.

There is the vision from the ground of stars rising and setting into three pyramids. There is a western viewpoint (now built over) where three stars in Orion can be seen rising out of the peaks of each of the three pyramids. Bellatrix rises from the truncated peak of Khufu, Alnitak rises from the peak of Khafre and Rigel rises from the peak of Menkaure. Meanwhile from an eastern viewpoint (that coincides with the lost Khufu Valley Temple whose likely position has been identified by archaeologists)three stars in Orion are seen to set into the three pyramid peaks where Rigel sets into the peak of Menkaure followed by Alnilam setting into the peak of Khafre and then finally Betelgeuse sets into the "peak" of Khufu. It is proposed that the flat peak of Khufu was always meant to be that way and that the Pharaoh was raised to the top of the pyramid by some means and stood on this platform for special ceremonies when Betelgeuse appeared to set "through" the pharaoh and into the Khufu Pyramid linking the pharaoh with Osiris.

Other important stars identified with other Ancient Egyptian deities (other than the stars of Orion/Osiris)could be seen to rise and set into the three main pyramids and also the subsidiary pyramid to Menkaure GIIIa and the satellite pyramid to Khafre when viewed from the Valley temples' open roofed courtyards and also from the Sphinx temple and the Khentkawes pedestal. The stars seen to align with the pyramid peaks include those of Orion associated with Osiris but also Spica as Hathor, Menkent as Thoth, Hamal as Atum, Regulus as Sekhmet, Procyon as Anubis, Deneb as Nephthys, Sagittae as Wadjet, Aldebaran as Apis and the Pleiades as Seth in the form of a bull's leg (following his fight with Horus when Seth transformed to a bull) thereby linking the pyramids as stellar deities with the other stellar deities important in ancient Egyptian beliefs.

There are the days when the Sun or Ra aligns with the peaks of the pyramids (as opposed to the star alignments). When the Sun aligns with the pyramids touching the pinnacle of each of the three main pyramid peaks and the satellite pyramid to Khafre when viewed from the three valley temples, the days when these solar/pinnacle alignment occurs (when plotted as spokes on a circular calendar) gives an even and symmetrical distribution of festival days when viewed as a Wheel of the year relative to the solar solstice and equinox festivals. Furthermore just as with the Neolithic stone circles of Scotland these days of solar alignments with the pyramid peaks (as opposed to the Scottish solar alignments with the Megaliths positioned around the circles), coincide with days when the brightest stars are aligned either due South, due East or due West at Civil twilight when the Sun lies 6 degrees below the horizon at dawn or dusk (only the brightest stars are visible at twilight). The bright stars that are cardinally aligned on these days are proposed to have represented the stellar deities of ancient Egypt and perhaps marked festival days when they were venerated.

The measurement lengths used to build the pyramids ( Menkaure 26.18cm (half a royal cubit) (6000 swings/13 Meg degrees), Khafre 35.92cm (9000 swings/23 Meg Degrees) and Khufu 46.25cm (10000 swings /29 Meg Degrees)) give an additional temporal link between each of the pyramids as representing a star in Orion as Osiris and other important bright stars representing other Egyptian stellar deities. The hour angle separating the star pairs gives an integer multiple of 6000, 9000 and 10000 for each of the pendulum lengths used for each of the pyramids where a star in Orion is linked to another bright star through the number of swings separating the two stars when a length of the unit length used to build the pyramid is used as a pendulum. The stars connected to stars in Orion/Osiris are stars that represent important deities and objects in the pantheon of Ancient Egyptian mythology including Isis, Seth, Horus, Khnum/Atum, Nephthys, Hathor, the Scales of judgement, the feather of Maat, the Shen Ring and the solar Barque thereby linking the pyramids with the gods and their relationships through the dimensions of the pyramids and the pendulums used to build them.
These associations only concern the measurements used and the dimensions and alignments of the pyramids with stars. Perhaps there are other purposes to be discovered for the pyramids but it is amazing to see how the design of the pyramids has allowed so many levels of association to be made where they interact with the movement of the heavens in such an ingenious way and reflect the known mythology of Ancient Egypt.
