The evidence is beyond being conclusive that all the great pyramids, and most or all of the others, were built by pulling stones straight up the sides one step at a time. This evidence includes simple observation, gravimetric imaging, and various types of visual evidence. It also includes reason since it would be illogical to build ramps and try to drag stones up them. All the physical evidence, cultural evidence, and historical evidence agree. Yet Egyptologists continue to invent new ways to say that these people had no other means to build than to drag stones!!! They won't even suggest that doing it the easiest possible and best evidenced way is a possibility; they continue with the contention that ramps are the only possibility. Laughably they even use the existence of the Hatnub "ramp" to bolster their failed arguments.
Now they say they study the pyramids with their backs to them and that Egyptologists don't need any data about the pyramids like the infrared imaging unless it agrees with dogma so even Egyptologists aren't allowed to see the imaging.
Perhaps it's a simple matter of not liking to be shown to be wrong but it seems far more is at play than just a little embarrassment. So Why won't they acknowledge facts? Why are they desperately clinging to ramps like life preservers in a sea of doubt?
What will it take for them to admit the question of construction has been solved (see Ragano et al) and when will they follow up on all the new technology and theory?
I predicted long ago they would simply become irrelevant to the study of ancient Egypt. This seems to be accelerating.
