What are the chambers inside Gudung Padang? And are they really 27,000 years old? The link above by Anton Petrov suggests that “most archeologists” studying the region say the inner chambers are nothing but mere caves that inhabited humans with no evidence of tools or advanced culture. He even speculates so far as to say the entire hill is volcanic “and could have been created naturally.”
That’s not what the GPR or RCD results are saying:

While only “12” Radio Carbon dating samples on vaguely described “organic material” from boring and trenching could certainly be improved in the study linked above, there is evidence of carefully dated human organics next to advanced masonry and megalithic structures at Gunung Padang:
“4 CONCLUSION
4.1 Gunung Padang is a multi-layered prehistoric pyramid
This study strongly suggests that Gunung Padang is not a natural hill but a pyramid-like construction. The pyramid's core consists of meticulously sculpted massive andesite lava (Unit 4), enveloped by layers of rock constructions (Unit 3, Unit 2 and Unit 1). The carbon dating analysis further supports the multi-layer construction's long history, spanning successive periods.”
As discussed many times on this message board, all ancient sites start out as natural formations with some strategic and resourceful importance. Then layers of construction are developed and layered over older structures. Studies that claim “advanced megalithic masonry” are buried with carbon dated evidence of human civilization need to do a better job of chronicaling pictures along with their RCD and GPR evidence. If we can’t find tools we need to at least find evidence tools were used. But even the lack of evidence of tools next to well dated organics buried with megalithic structures does not entitle us to take extremes to say that ancient megalithic sites have no human architecture and are simply natural when there is clearly evidence that is not the case either.
