Reading Magicians of the Gods, I am surprised that there is no mention of Crete as the possible island from which civilization emanated. It would have been inundated during the Flood, and it is said that it has been inhabited for 130,000 years, making it about the oldest known civilization. It seems to me to be the obvious island referred to many times as the origin of the "gods."
