Hi all

I encountered this youtube channel (The Prehistory Guys ) long ago, as they interviewed Dr Lee Clare the chief Archaeologist who took over from Klaus Schmidt. That was an interesting discussion (not linked) but worth a look.

They are dithery old blokes but they happened to get a good look around over three days with Dr Lee Clare.
There is lots of stuff not normally shown to the public with some very interesting observations and expert comments

I post Link to the first day but it is recommended that anyone interested at least watches day 2 and for the really interested Day 3.

Some of my observations

-No advanced tools
-Obviously "civilization" even amongst Hunters and Gatherers who chose to settle in an area had progressed by late Younger Dryas. There had to be a build up which we know happened in the previous 5000 to 10000 years by nearby and possibly related Natufian culture.
-Shows the development of styles which lead to places later like Catalhoyuk ( actual houses with top entry)
-The quarry is interesting. No advanced technology
- Dispells some of the BS fantasy made up about the site. Especially indirectly all the astronomical fantasy (M Sweatman) and such.

Check out how excited and active Dr Clare is about it all and note he does not make stuff up when he doesn't know unlike the fringe fan fiction writers!!!

Some might not have seen it, and may like the extra information. ?

Dr T (mod) if you want to shunt this to another thread, that is OK but I didn't know where to put it.

Enjoy
Cheers
