I have recently finished watching season 2 of Ancient Apocalypse, and I loved it but it also got me wondering about a mystery in my country that we are rarely taught about outside of religious context.
Madain Saleh is the creation of the Thamud tribe that lived there around 700 BCE is what we were taught that they were giants at that time that lived longer than current humans and held amazing capability to carve their homes out of mountains and that god punished them for their sins, thus isn't encouraged to visit the sites for tourism purposes.
I am from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. And I truly believe we have something wondrous lying in our desert that is still a mystery to many and is rarely talked about outside of Saudi due to the country's past strict laws on who enters, and for that reason the site has been virtually untouched and I wish to visit it soon. But I was also hoping that it might be of your interest to at least give it a look and try to work out its past which has amazing megalithic structures carved out of mountains and many old drawings and rock carvings (in Madain Saleh, the south of Saudi and east of Saudi) similar to those of what you showed on Ancient Apocalypse throughout the americas, which only baffles me how similar it is despite the distance and different cultures that have lived here throughout many years.
If you google some images I am sure you will be fascinated by what you find.
