What was the goal of Russian explorer Roerich?
I think he tried to find Shambhala and any ancient secrets in the Himalayans.

Was there any real evidence of Shambhala/Shangri La?
I think it is a Tibetan myth in which:

[*]It's an advanced mystical city underground either in the Himalayas like around Mt Kailash or far north of the Himalayans, like the Altai mountains or Tocharian desert in West China; or
[*]It's just a myth; or
[*]It's an alternate plane of reality in those places, where paranormal events occur like Yeti
