Can anyone see Scott Creighton’s “traces of paint run” (as per first image) in the images following?
Consider also this relevant text from Creighton’s book:
“A close examination of the Khufu cartouche on the roof block of Campbell’s Chamber reveals something quite peculiar. At the bottom-right section of this cartouche where the paint is most concentrated, traces of two paint runnels can be observed running vertically down the roof block.”
Does this not suggest (falsely) that someone—Creighton or an informant—has observed this in situ?
It’s also not evident in these images that the paint really is most concentrated at this location.
