Many pyramids appear to be aligned to the current (geo) North pole. And many pyramids are not aligned to the current geo pole. Why not?
It appears that their alignments show a clustering on different positions on Greenland. Greenland appeared to have been on the North pole. Crustal shifts are real, and they occur not every day, and not even once in every ten thousand years. Many pyramids appear to be much, much older than currently assumed.
Crustal shifts are not caused by ice depositions around the poles like Hapgood suggested, but by a reaction of the different components of the earth (heavy solid, heavy liquid, light solid, and light liquid) on the changes in its eccentric orbit around the sun. There is very little known on this issue by science. Milankovitch described three movements of the earth through time: obliquity, precession and eccentricity. There are many people who found clear relations between ice ages and Milankovitch cycles, and therefore claim it is caused by these cycles. This is a typical short circuit conclusion.
How are crustal shifts caused? And therefore ice ages? It has to do with preserving the angular momentum that earth's rotation speed changes when the earth-sun distance changes. When the speed-up or slowdown exceeds a certain threshold the crust can break loose from the syrupy astenosphere. The light crust reacts differently on this angular momentum than the heavier liquid or solid inner components. Like said before, there's very little known on this issue, and exactly this phenomenon seems to cause crustal shifts.
