How were Pyramid stones cut with matching angles?

What kind of tools and methods were used. Was it complicated, or just techniques we no longer use or understand?

Any ideas?

Ref: Advanced stone cutting technology... ?

Another way to cut 2D blocks is to snap chalk lines. You measure the datum points from the prior stone. Two men place a pigmented (blue) chalk line and snap a line. You can do this on all 4 sides, and chisel down to approx. 1/2" above those lines. Since they were able to handle large stones, and you have roughed out the cut, place one stone on top of the other. You would build a wood frame around the top stone, and rub the two surfaces together.

If you will notice, all the stones in question, were cut from one side to the other. You partially bury one stone in the sand, and place the other on top. Find 7 more of you friends, and begin pulling the top stone back and forth, until they sand each other and match. Those stones would fit so well, you would not be able to get a razor blade between them...

With stones of such weight, it would not take long...
