Since the theory goes that there was an imapact (or two) in Northern North America ~11k years ago, has Graham or anybody else tested the environment in southeastern Hudson Bay for evidence of this? I.e. shocked quartz or iridium or other rare-on-earth-but-popular-in-space metals?
Looking at Flaherty Island, it seems to be of very unusual geologic formation, almost like viscous rock dripped onto the bay. Combine that with the gigantic semi-circular bight to the east and the radial discoloration to the west of the bay, it looks like a more compelling ELE impact site than the Chicxulub crater.
Just my two cents. Peace.
