During this video he claims that human brains have been losing volume for the last 20,000 years ... when it last peaked due to evolutionary pressures. He predicted this with evolutionary theory and has since been supported with archeological and fossil evidence. Anyway, my thinking was that if our 'brain power' peaked 20K ago it must've been still strong for a couple thousand years after that ... when an ancient civilization may have arose that was also 'aware' that consciousness is the cause of realty, not physical forces and would have never thought to create any based on them (like ours is) ... until it was too late.
