Below is a description of the Carnac stones taken from wikipedia. The reason for using this text is not to overflow the message board with information. The reason for not just putting a link to Wikipedia is for the reader to quickly get the essential information without reading threw too much text.
"The Carnac stones are an exceptionally dense collection of megalithic sites around the village of Carnac in Brittany, consisting of alignments, dolmens, tumuli and single menhirs. More than 3,000 prehistoric standing stones were hewn from local rock and erected by the pre/proto-Celtic people of Brittany, and form the largest such collection in the world. There are three major groups of stone rows — Ménec, Kermario and Kerlescan — which may have once formed a single group, but have been split up as stones were removed for other purposes.
Ménec alignments
Eleven converging rows of menhirs stretching for 1,165 by 100 metres (3,822 by 328 feet). There are what Alexander Thom considered to be the remains of stone circles at either end.
The largest stones, around 4 metres (13 feet) high, are at the wider, western end; the stones then become as small as 0.6 metres (2 feet 0 inches) high along the length of the alignment before growing in height again toward the extreme eastern end."

Here is a satellite picture from the Menec alignment taken using NatGeo MapMaker. I created a blue line to demonstrate the alignment.
I wanted to see if the line were pointing to something special. So first I extended it inland toward northeast.
The extended line hits Paris directly. Nobody knows how old the Carnac stones are, but they are believed to be at least 5000 years old. According to the history books, the origin of Paris goes back to 300 BCE when it was inhabited by the Parisii tribe. There is relatively little information to be found about the foundation of Paris by this tribe. The earliest settlement in Paris goes back 8000 BC
If we extend the line the other way to the west. The line hits the coast of France after 5 km. As you can see in the pic below, there are some geometric figures on the ground where the line hits the coast. I do not know if these figures are old or modern.
One other interesting fact is that it hits the coast of France on longtitude -3,141.
Number 3,141 is the same number as pi. I know that the history of our prime meridian only goes back to 1721, but I still find it worth to mention.
If we extend the line across the Atlantic Ocean, the next interestin place the line come across is Miami, Florida. Many people think of Miami as a modern place, with a relative short history. But in 1998 something special was discovered.
“The Miami Circle, also known as The Miami River Circle, Brickell Point, or The Miami Circle at Brickell Point Site, is an archaeological site in DowntownMiami, Florida. It consists of a perfect circle measuring 38 feet (11.5m) of 600 postmolds that contain 24 holes or basins cut into the limestone bedrock, on a coastal spit of land, surrounded by a large number of other 'minor' holes. It is the only known evidence of a prehistoric permanent structure cut into the bedrock in the Eastern United States, and considerably predates other known permanent settlements on the East Coast.”

The next point the line come across is Teotihuacan in Mexico. Which is one of the most important archeological places in all of America.
