Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, (Triumphal Arch of the Star) is one of the most famous monuments in Paris, standing at the western end of the Champs-Élysées at the center of Place Charles de Gaulle, formerly named Place de l'Étoile — the étoile or "star" of the juncture formed by its twelve radiating avenues.

I could not help noticing that the area surrounding the arch, The Place Charles de Gaulle, looks just like the zodiac.
And the former name for The Place Charles de Gaulle, used to be Place de l'Étoile which means "place of the star".

The name Triumphal Arch of the Star, reminds me of Ra's journey threw the duat or underworld. In this story Ra (Sun/Star) triumphs over the Underworld. The journey was divided into 12 hours, with each hour representing an obstacle that Ra had to complete in order to move onto the next. It should also be mentioned the the arch is at the end of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées which means Elysian Fields which is the name of the underworld in Greek mythology.

So, what does an arch symbolize? An arch is a gateway, a door to something beyond it, a passageway to something more to follow. An arch can signify a period of transition, a passage from where one moves to another place. Transitions signify change – and the arch represents the passageways or doorways of that process. The stone arches might also represent strength and resilience.
