I would like to note that this is an entirely incoherent thread and it is purely for my own curiosity's sake. If you have any insightful knowledge to contribute, please do!
I was watching Mr. Hancock's "Quest for the Lost Civilization" when the topic of serpents came up. I instantly paused the documentary to ponder, still yet to be resumed. This global phenomenon of a person or people represented by a serpent can easily be connected with the Christian recount of the story of Adam and Eve. The common concept being that the serpent is connected with knowledge, except presented in Christian scripture as a tragic mistake rather than a treasure. This is one thing that instantly struck me and I would like to try and study further. At this particular moment I have nothing of further value to contribute to this specific tangent.
After some consideration, I remembered an article by a Mr. Andrew Collins, which I read about a decade ago. There is a cave in the Giza Plateau, the entrance is located in the Tomb of the Birds. The Egyptians refer to this cave as "El-Kahf El-Hanash", in English it is known as "the cave of the serpent". Mr. Collins made the connection to this cave as the possible tomb of Hermes which, to my knowledge, is known as Thoth in the Egyptian pantheon. Correct me if I'm wrong but Hermes/Thoth was known as both a messenger and bringer of knowledge; another connection between serpents and knowledge.
I would like to ask if any further exploration has been done at this site, and if any further information is available after Mr. Collins' brief venture into this cave. I think it is entirely plausible, according to my current knowledge, that this cave may hold the final conclusive proof, as well as some possibly surviving preserved artifacts of our missing "serpentine" civilization. I would also like to ask that if you have any further ideas or evidence to any of these topics, that you please share them!
As always, all the best,
