I watched a video on the Great Pyramid of Giza today and one of the commentators described the Egyptians as having a legend/myth of a Pharaoh called Saurit (spelling uncertain) who was the builder of the Great Pyramid. Allegedly he is equated to the Hebrew equivalent of Enoch.
I have been studying Egyptian history and Alternative history for a good few years now and never have I come across the name of Saurit... I have Googled his name (and various other spellings of the name) but found very little information about it... I have even check the search function on the boards here and couldn't find any reference to his name... Obviously there are large amounts of info on Enoch, but almost nothing on Saurit, so can anyone here shed any light or new information on this legendary pyramid builder and Pharaoh named Saurit?
It seems strange; if the Egyptians have an existing legend/myth regarding the pyramid builders and that little to no info is supplied by Egyptians on the building of the Great Pyramids in heiroglyphic text, why do we still attribute the monumental building to Khufu?
Any help on this is appreciated!
