I was so pleased to read GH mention in Magicians of the Gods an ancient tale of a comet strike splitting the Earth open. This is superbly interesting for me in view of the work of creationist Walt Brown and his hydroplate theory: [www.creationscience.com]
For the life of me I can't find again where GH writes it and I looked through the whole book last night. If anyone can locate it for me please post. The book has to be back at the library soon.
Just had no idea there were so many Native American Indian comet-strike stories! Just look at the mess something has made of the moon (and the other rocky planets)!
On another note, there are myriad glass spherules out in the open in the North African desert so this clearly points to a more recent strike. Have any qualitative analyses done on these?
