Just watching the Shermer/Hancock episode of Joe Rogan again. The question of where the people came from that built Göbekli Tepe comes up again and again. Has there been excavations in the local towns? Particularly the town south of the temple complex called Dağeteği. Looking on Google satellite, I see that there are ruins in that town, and am wondering what work has been done there, if any? What appears to be ruins to me is the area west of the town.
