Dear list,
Resident contributor Sam Petry (a.k.a. 'cladking') is of the mind a section of the Pyramid Texts speak specifically of CO2 (carbon dioxide), the release of such into an area (Giza? Others?) of the Nile, and that either ancient Egyptians or the Pharaoh is warned to tiptoe (quickly?) away from this danger. In other pontifications, we see mentions of mysterious 'geysers' and other strange justifications on his versions of texts and individual words.
Truth be known, Mr Petry is very enthusiastic about his claims, and really hasn't changed his shtick for many years. In fact, he often quotes the text he uses to support his CO2 meanderings. Here they are (from Mercer's version here):
Indeed, if one were to Google 'thou shalt not tread upon the (corpse)-secretion of Osiris' we find Sam Petry talking the exact same stuff at mockforums.net in Feb 2012, www.scienceforums.net in Sep 2013, historum.com in Feb 2014, and on it goes. Readers are welcome to Google 'stinky-footed bumpkins' as well to find much more. Or, try 'dragged tombs up ramps' if you so fancy it. I find it odd how consistent Sam Petry is in his presentations, and seems at the ready to cut/paste his arguments (even including the same images) at any moment of engagement.
All this expose aside, I would invite Sam Petry (or anyone who would like to take a stab at it) to justify a translation of 'CO2' using the original glyphs. Seeing as how Mr Petry claims all current Pyramid Text versions are in error, his 'replacement' interpretation has (since the beginning of his online presence on the matter) yet to include the demonstrable reasoning behind the glyphs reading as 'CO2'.
Here they are, and good luck:

722c. Thy foot shall not pass over, thy step shall not stride through,
722d. thou shalt not tread upon the (corpse)-secretion of Osiris.
723a. Thou shalt tiptoe heaven like Śȝḥ (the toe-star); thy soul shall be pointed like Sothis (the pointed-star).
